Abstract:
Attractiveness judgments are affected by a multitude of factors including sex differences, why those judgments are being made (for long- or short-term relationships), and cultural differences. Emerging evidence suggests that attractiveness judgments are also affected by the participants' relationship with the opposite sex parent. In the proposed experiments, we aim to find the relationship between attachment style and attractiveness judgments in male participants. This study is expected to contribute to the strengthening of the bridge between developmental psychology and evolutionary psychology
